As a former drug addict and prostitute, Lisa has not only turned her life around but has become a leading authority on prisoner reentry. 

In 2005, Virginia Speaker of the House, Bill Howell, appointed her to the Senate Joint Subcommittee on Prisoner Reentry at the Virginia General Assembly and reappointed her in 2006. During her tenure on this committee, Lisa introduced three prisoner/re-entry legislative proposals that were accepted into law at the General Assembly in January 2006, and her story intrigues audiences around the U.S.

With her professional background as an inspirational radio talk show host, a veteran of Twelve-Step Recovery. and an executive of a successful 501(c)(3) transitional home for women sponsored by Doris Buffett, sister of Warren Buffett, she understands the struggles of addiction and recovery and uses her platform to give others the courage to change their lives.
